This has been a crazy year for the UFC.
Bad news, Cerrone said DC was “fighting like a fag”, and now he’s in trouble. The UFC wants to “educate” him about “the issues facing the LGBTQ community”. Ugh.
I remember when Dana White suspended Matt Mitrione for making “transphobic” comments about Fallon Fox. It has been my experience that fighters tend to lean to the right politically and are not PC.
He’ll be 46 in August.
Looks like the UFC has been sold. Bought out by some investment group headed by Ari Emmanuel. I’m going to be feeling really guilty purchasing a product headed by the brother of Rahm Emmanuel.
meh- donald should ‘educate’ the UFC and threaten to take his business elsewhere- Donald said he only gets paid about $80,000 per fight whether he wins or loses anyways because of the contract type he has with the ufc- I’ll be disappointed if Donald comes out with an ‘apology’ to ‘all those who might have been offended’

Well, if he didn’t they may have let him go. Bellator is also a lib owned big business, I doubt their fighters are allowed first amendment rights either. Whatcanyoudo.

With the new owner coming from a powerful Democratic family, I expect the UFC to become even more PC. It won’t surprise me if the UFC plays up the fact that they have a new gay champion, Amanda Nunes.

The main event was @ 125. John Lineker knocked out Michael McDonald. Title shot could be next for Lineker but Mighty Mouse is hurt, he was to face Wilson Reis at UFC 201 but pulled out last week.
I spaced too, totally forgot about it. Wednesday is an odd time for an MMA card.
Lineker looked really good and good grief, he has very heavy hands at 125.

Whew, I was getting a little nervous watching Matt Mitrione struggle a bit against his opponent, but he comes up with a nice stoppage at the end of the second by way of strikes.
I wonder if Josh Crotchcheck is going to be in the audience watching the fight he was supposed to be in with Daley tonight.
MVP did look impressive in his win.
