I know I’ll get flamed for this, and I’m happy the creep is dead, BUT wasn’t that murder?

What about his constitutional rights? Due process?

He was contained was he not? What was the hurry? Wait him out. Sometimes it takes days. Maybe he would have eventually given up, killed himself or committed suicide by cop.

Those would have been justified, but to send in a bomb, sounds like murder to me. Just sayin.

I would throw the switch, pull the handle, push the button, pull the trigger, or stick the needle in his arm if this guy had his day in court. DUE PROCESS.

It might have been profitable to have been able to water board, I mean interrogate him.

No, he was armed and dangerous and an immediate threat. Take him out.

Hey Dude, this is Texas, still with good old frontier justice. You kill us, we kill you back.

This just saved us a lot of time and money. The black police chief did exactly the right thing. Good for him.

If there was any possible chance he could escape and kill more people, then the police were justified in neutralizing the threat. That is not murder.

Now if the police incontrovertibly knew the perm was harmlessly contained except for rushing the cops in a suicidal move, then it MIGHT be murder.

This instance, since we don’t know any of the specific circumstances, we can’t say it was murder. If he was contained on the 1st story of the garage away from stairs and elevators, but they still worried he could jump to the ground and continue his killing spree, then the police are warranted to neutralize that threat.

I can answer that. The suspect had an obviously very defensible elevated position. A killing platform. The suspect had already shot nearly a dozen cops killing almost half of them.

Begs the question: How long would you be willing to allow this person to sit up there on his lofty perch?

lethal force is lethal force
better he’s dead than pleading insanity and fbi says he was grossly negligent but had no intent...
