Thanks. It worked.
Hubby just brought in a beautiful Lily, it is huge. You have a great rest of the weekend.
Nice looking secretary desk. I love that sort of stuff. We have been extremely wet here too. Every time it would quit, and we would go outside, we’d barely get started, and it would rain again. I forgot to leave a can out, so I have not idea how much we got.
Will be planting corn, and transplanting cantaloupe and cukes some time this week.
Just finished canning about 9 lbs. beef. Have about 15 lbs of chicken to can this afternoon and evening. Hubby picked a bad time to pick the green beans, looks like about 7 quarts of those to do too.
When he asked me to come out and see if the beets were ready, I told him, I knew with out looking that they were NOT READY. LOL
Have a great time at Bennett Springs, Dad loved to fish there, and we spent many weekends there when I was a kid.
Thanks for the PIC! Happy 4th to you and yours.
I just checked the tomatoes and there are buds on them. Having my own tomatoes would be awesome! Hoping you have a safe and happy 4th as well!
After you’ve had your own homegrown maters, you’ll never be satisfied with store bought again!
I forgot to check the USGS site to see what the river level was doing. We got to Bennett and found chocolate milk, so we meandered the creeks south of the Osage River on the way back to CoMO.
Stopped at Pops’ house on the way home and had supper.
It was a good day.
Well, glad it turned out ok, even if you didn’t get to fish. Sure is hot this afternoon. Gotta do the green beans tonight. Got the chicken and beef done this weekend.
Bought too much chicken, but not enough to can a 2cnd batch, so I crock potted it. Chicken Stew for supper tonight.
