Even before the U.S. military ended its ban Thursday on transgender service members openly serving, Army Sgt. Ken Ochoa, 26, already knew what it meant to openly serve. Ochoa, who joined the military in 2010, transitioned in 2014, well before the military considered lifting the ban. He heard that other troops had made the transition and discovered an inner peace that came with the change. So he made the decision to follow suit, knowing he would silently become a different person before his fellow soldiers, his company commander, and his friends around the base.

The real issue here is that this has all been by Executive fiat, with no real Legislative input, no national debate. Another President could reverse this all overnight.
I saw this disgusting display yesterday on MSNBC at the gym. The MSNBC folks were giddy with excitement. It's HISTORIC, don't you know.
Platoon leaders everywhere are please with the sudden availability of mine detectors.
Post #19 ~ That is one butt-ugly chick. Is it a chick?
God bless our military, it’s time to clean out the garbage. Make America’s Armed Forces great again!!
We now encourage the mentally ill to act out.
Cross-dressing homosexuals.
Good. Now let’s get rid of all separate facilities in the military. Put EVERYONE in the same big barracks or berth.
You're a soldier. You are a killing machine. You don't get to have "inner peace", friggin' pansy.
Get out now and go to work for a florist. You shame the service.
None of these things should be near a weapon.
This post motivated by recent discussions with family and friends:
Me, my friends, and many of our kids have been in the mil, or are in the mil.
One of the daughters emailed with concerns, saying when she has her annual exam she wants a woman chaperone; not a man that thinks he’s a woman, or some other brand of AFU in the head pervert.
I called a friend of mine - retired military, female, OB/Gyn doc. She retired 3 yrs ago and says she saw this coming; hospital folks have been talking.
In her private practice, many patients have expressed similar concerns.
The doc says it hasn’t started yet, but her and her partner docs are worried eventually there will be a lawsuit filed by some messed up in the head man who claims to be a female, and was discriminated against because he wasn’t allowed to chaperone.
The military and the rest of the country are so screwed up, I can’t even find the words...or at least words that are printable here.
Hey Ken: Here’s a KaBar and a bottle of whiskey.
Make your transition.
Sorry, but PC is sooo yesterday.
