There is so much preparing required, and so little time. There is a lot of psychological preparation needed too.

Butchering mammals is a skill that folks should know. But could you butcher your own cat? I have prepared my self emotionally for the eventuality.

That’s the kind of crap that burnt me out on Y2K forums 17 years ago, so I quit them. Store rice and beans, etc. is what I did, and any canned meat would be for my cats. You ought to be ashamed. If TSHTF I hope your cat runs away.
