Donald Trump, according to a new report, has accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior.
No, you didn't accidentally click on The Onion. That's a factual statement, according to a well-respected evangelical faith leader.
Dr. James Dobson, who was among the more than 900 evangelical faith leaders who met with the Republican presidential nominee-in-waiting in New York City, says it happened fairly recently. He also said he knew who led the businessman to Christ.
"I don't know when it was, but it has not been long," Dobson told Godfactor's Michael Anthony in an exclusive interview. "I believe he really made a commitment, but he's a baby Christian. We all need to be praying for him, especially if there's a possibility of him being our next chief executive officer."

what business is it of yours? Did someone put you in charge of verification?
Faith is personal. Leave it at that.
That’ll REALLY piss off the leftoids.
Dobson may be wrong about Trump, but hs is a truly great and honest American.
I hope so, too, and will be praying for him.
“Its for Trump to say. I hate this kind of crap. Dobson is just playing games to pump his business. If Trump doesnt want to talk about it, what position does this put him in? What Dobson is doing is wrong.”
Like I said, it’s Trump’s to talk about.
People who speak for other people’s relationship with God cause nothing but problems - and they DON’T speak for God.
I for one will pray for our country and for Mr. Trump. We already know Hillary is too lost to recover herself with the Lord.
Jesus Christ works every time He is tried!
At one of his rallies, Trump said he was Presbyterian. Suits me.
I don’t care what CHURCH people go to, as long as it isn’t a MOSQUE.
Ok I gotta ask this....How is being a star in a reality show about “business” or playing a staged, goofy role in a wrestling event immoral or unchristian?
Of course Mr. Trump did. He’s no fool.
Exactly, how many average Joe people has this man helped over his life when they couldn’t do anything for him or owe him anything. He didn’t run to the newspapers for a photo shoot when he did those things either.
I read the other day he flew 200 stranded Marines home when they were stuck in Miami during Kuwait war and had been in war zone trying to get back to their families.
How many sick children or people has he given free use of his jet?
He paid off someone’s house
He helped the Marine financially that was in prison in Mexico for a year while our President refused to make a phone call to get him released.
...what evidence is there to show that Trump has accepted Christ?...
That’s between him and God.
Pray that more than the usual 25% of the evangelicals vote!
The Bible definitely does teach that one’s faith is personal - most personal.
But on the other hand, it also teaches very clearly that one faith’s is a public matter - a very public matter, in fact, in so many ways.
In both the Old Testament and the New, one’s relationship with God is about acknowledging one sins against Him and our need for His forgiveness and mercy, and having faith in Him despite our trials.
And we can’t do these things without taking public stands for Christ, and publicly identifying with Him. This is what both Testaments is about.
Jesus said we have to confess Him before men, for us not to hide our lights which He provides us, and He called on people to demonstrate their faith in Him before others, in a public way.
All in all, the Bible teaches that everything that is hidden will be revealed, everything in our hearts will be manifest, and that what we believe we act out towards God and others, so there is nothing that can be separated and called absolutely personal.
Has reality TV and pro wrestling been good for culture or is it garbage? Come on. So when you are already smart and successful business man why have a garbage hobby? Why do it?
Freegards
Exactly, these people are just the ones coming forward. I suspect most might not, because they realize that Trump would be cool with that. So I think that might be only the tip of the iceberg.
Freegards
True!
maybe God has reasons we humans cannot understand and should stop trying to because when we do question or try to figure it out stuff that’s bordering on judging others, we limit God down to human level or standards.
His ways are higher than ours
His thoughts higher than ours
Are you saying that his Apprentice show had no redeeming quality and was similar in scope and depth and usefulness to society as a reality show such as Jackass or the Kardash-whoevers or some other show like that? Because I just want to be clear on that. And if the answer is yes, can you tell me what religion you are so I'll be sure and never go within 100 miles of it?
And people wonder why other people get so jaded on participating in organized religion.
