A Baton Rouge mother who took the law into her own hands after catching her three sons breaking into a house shouldn't be facing criminal charges she should be applauded.
Free Schaquana Evita Spears.
The 30-year-old single parent finds herself at least for now fighting the law because she had the audacity to hold three of her children accountable for their actions. Learning that her sons aged 10, 12 and 13 had broken into a neighbor's house and stolen a hoverboard and some electronics, Spears left work to administer her own version of corporal punishment.
In plain speak; she gave her boys a whupping.
Her brand of parenting justice was repeatedly striking the boys with an RCA cord, typically used to run audio and video from one electronic device to another. The problem, according to the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office, is she went too far. Ah, the old common sense approach, I like it!
A cane ala Singapore punishment would have been better.
How did the state get involved ?
YOWCH!!! From what I’ve heard, ya don’t want two of those.
Yes, we all know how well child services works.
don’t agree with you my bet is that the kids will break into more houses all the mother taught was don’t get caught because if you do I will beat you... it is not the severity of a punishment that is important it is the consistency that a punishment is given. any parent that leaves damage when administrating corporal punishment is giving a beating nothing more then that. I am all for getting to the seat of a problem with a spanking but she used a power cord and according to the news article there were serval lacerations.
“For accidents like a ball through a window spanking. “

A spanking for an accident?
