someone did something wrong.

We finally agree because everything in this case points toward Eddie Gray having done something wrong while in the van not the police.

We already have such a system as imperfect as it is it’s the only one we got. It’s what just happened in the courts. You can’t hold the police responsible for every hangnail that happens to someone in custody. Sure they should be (and are) responsible for reasonable medical care and food and shelter.

They already do all that and the operative word here is “reasonable”. Can’t have them on the hook for quick buck shysters, willing to hurt themselves in custody for a quick settlement from the local government. By the way you might not know but that’s exactly the kind of character Grey was. He had pending court cases for supposed injuries while in custody. And his family got a nice payout soon after the riots. So they’re happy.

With all that said I can certainly understand why some may be angered by this decision. But again given Grey’s history of opportunistic self injuries I really think justice was served here.

Now, I’ll be going home in a few hours, and I live in Baltimore. I ask everyone reading this to not wish for violence too much, and maybe pray for my safety. Thanks.

Perhaps you should do a little research before jumping to that conclusion.

To get a conviction, the State MUST present evidence that proves guilt beyond any reasonable doubt.

The State failed at every level. Some of their own witnesses brought out great doubt of Officer Goodson’s guilt and that of the other five officers. This is nothing but a racially biased con job by Mosby.
