that was my first thought also. An army of Target employees coming to the defense of a woman seemed too convenient considering the timing.

I’d place this incident as a 95% likelihood that the entire scene was a set up by leftist fascist pukes to gain sympathy for and take pressure off the pervert CEO. Target stock is crashing and something had to be done to stop the bleeding.
