I once sat next to a guy on a flight from London to Chicago.

We chatted and after a while I knew something was up.

As we were landing I said “I bet I know what you do for a living.” He just smiled and asked “What?”

I speculated that he works for the government and flies, a lot.

He flashed a subtle grin.

After the seatbelt sign turned of we wished each other well, and when we shook hands he passed me an Air Marshal pin.
