I understand that the muslims were great chess players and Obama's statement is kind of a catch 22 political chess move.
You can't say certain words because it legitimizes them.
You can't attack them because it just makes them mad.
You can't anything because anything makes them stronger
They are butchering people all over the world while are tied in knots of philosophical conflicts.

If you name your enemy, you say you recognize them, and you tell everyone watching you who the enemy is. Think about a serial killer roaming through your neighborhood. You’d like to know what the police know about him. They might say he is white, or Asian, or whatever.
The fact that Obama won’t SAY who the enemy is puts him on the side of the enemy. He is helping the enemy, he is standing with them. As he always said he would.

If he is forced to say Islamic terror by Trump, now, he will try to negate it with some words about the beauty and peace of Islam and the wonderful Muslim Americans who have been an essential part of this country etc.

If future President Trump says the problem is Radical Islam or a Radical Muslim caused the deaths, does that stop the problem?
Americans are aware of the problem of Radical Islam. Yet we still have individual mass and singular killings both by Radical Muslims and nutcase non Muslims. Frankly, a radical Muslim is as much a nutcase as Dylan Roof or Robert Lewis Deere or any of the other non Muslim mass shooters.

It’s unfair to generalize from a list of isolated events to all of Islam. You are maligning the dozens of decent Muslims who sincerely oppose this sort of violence.
