The Take This Job and Shove It singer has been ordered to pay the IRS more than $980,000 after pleading guilty to tax evasion and failing to pay $466,000 in back taxes, interest and penalties, prosecutors said.
Coe, 76, was also sentenced Monday in Cincinnati federal court to three years probation.
Federal prosecutors said the singer played more than 100 concerts a year between 2008 and 2013, but asked to be paid in cash to avoid paying Uncle Sam.

I'm glad he is being held to the same standard as Sharpton.

It was Johnny Paycheck who did “shove it”. David Allen Coe did, ‘...you don’t have to call me darlin’....darlin’.

David Allen Coe *wrote* it.... I think the original author couldn’t be bothered to actually *listen* to a country song.

Coe wrote the song.
Paycheck made it a hit.
I’ve seen Coe twice in concert. The first time was really good, the second time stunk. (He didn’t sing one song I knew !!)

I have a teeny proposal.
How ‘bout people older then 65 don’t gotta pay income taxes, cuz they already paid their “fair share” as the gangbanger extortionists known as the Democrat Party calls it?
DAC was just saving the taxpayers a lot of Social Security and Medicare costs.

The best Coe song? I just want to f*%# you one more time be for you go. As sung to his daughter. lol

You mean he wasn't already?
The loud mouth in the corner's gettin' to me
Talking 'bout my earrings and my hair
I guess he ain't read the signs that say I been to prison
Someone ought to warn him 'fore I knock him off his chair
To: sparklite2
Better not be telling any large, strange men to “shove it” while he’s in prison. ;)
