I concur and suggest running your favorite Doze apps in a VirtualBox. Makes it way easy to restore a Windows installation if it goes haywire.

I do run Linux. However, some of the high-end programs I use require some version of ‘doze to operate, and the latest version I can use for them is XP. They absolutely will not run on anything later.

When I have the time I plan on setting up some manner of virtual machine on one or more of the Linux versions I run and work with them from there, however, I do not see any of these machines ever running win10.

Mepis Linux, Kanotix, Uberstudent, DamnSmallLinux, Eagle Linux, Knoppix, or Mint13K-LTE -they all work well and each fills a need without having to deal with any Upgrade issues. :)

Even trying to convince some people (even some in the local citygov) to switch some of their computers over to Kiosk Linux to avoid all the malware headaches and licensing costs they have such a hard time dealing with, but some people just are so stuck in their ways they insist they MUST have microsoft running on their machines.

It gets tiresome after awhile, I must say.
