Install Linux along side or in place of windows. Mint is very user friendly.
Or you can load Mints desktop, Cinnamon 3.0 desktop, on Ubuntu 16.04 and it’s not beta. I’ve been using it for over a month. I installed Ubuntu 16.04 and then installed the Cinnamon 3.0 desktop environment on it. Here is a link showing how to do it:
