Those lingering trails are left from missiles.

The best actual sonic boom I experienced was a B-58. Never saw a B-58, would have loved to, one of the favorite models I built. Recently read a book by a B-58 pilot of his days flying them.
Coolest boom and sighting I ever had was a B-70 in early 1967 up in the high desert of Nevada. He was really hauling the mail way up there, no mistaking that white shape. Righteous boom well after he passed overhead. No idea how high he was.

Sonic booms.
I haven't heard one in decades so it's reasonable to assume that anyone who has never heard one would be spooked if one occurred....
Why don't we hear them anymore?

Re: Arizona incident
From the security cam footage, looks like something got intercepted or intentionally blown up.
Trail left behind looks the same as what we used to see after a satellite launch from Vandenberg.

God gave us garlic and onion to lure some and repel othersAlso, to keep animals away as NO animal likes those two foods. Read that somewhere.

Excuse me.....I was taking the hot air ballon tour of London by night and had some gas issues.....Lol.
I took a hot air balloon ride in Wyoming and have an "AERONAUT CERTIFICATE" to prove it. No gas issues, just quiet, peaceful gliding over the Wyoming land.

Making farts humorous ... fart poetry. Public farts are disgusting.
Well, I met a woman who made picking her teeth "elegant," she thought. She had a gold plated toothpick which she pulled out and used after every meal.
It was STILL disgusting!

The best actual sonic boom I experienced was a B-58. I was in the woods hunting. Saw just a glimpse as it went by, but being a geek I knew what it was.
I used to pass by the last remaining B-58 as I drove into work at General Dynamics (Now Lockheed-Martin) in Ft. Worth. It was on static display near the main gate. An older engineer told us the story of how the super sonic (nuclear enabled) bomber scared the crap of the soviets and they negotiated a treaty - part of which was the destruction of the entire fleet with the one exception.
