Posted on 06/03/2016 7:55:48 AM PDT by Don Hernando de Las Casas
Heres a light-hearted question for a beautiful Friday morning. What are the most visually beautiful weapons ever created? I was gonna ask for your top 5 or top 10, but, really, why limit ourselves? ANY weapons count; notice Ive counted warships on my list. I hope I havent listed all the best. Have at it, gang. Tiger tank 1911 .45 1921 Thompson BAR 1851 Colt Navy revolver M-60 and/or MG-42 Any ship of the line circa. 1770 1815, such as LOrient.

Don’t look now, but that was a Navy design.

Partial to most mausers...but I really like M1897 trench guns too.

Dont look now, but that was a Navy design.Yup, it was initially designed for the Navy, but the Air Force used it extensively. It was a hand-me-down, and a good one, at that.

Did you mean MG 34 or MG 42? Or am I getting the numbers confused?
To: saleman
A beautiful sound indeed.
I wish I could locate a similar video with sound for a B-29. I became accustomed to their distinctive sound as a boy during WW2 and can readily identify one by their sound even today.
