Why is race relevant? A 4 year old boy’s life was in danger, that should be all anyone needs to know.

I agree 100%. Race has nothing to do with this.

because the black lives matter people originally came out saying this was a case of white privilege that caused an innocent gorilla's death.

Because the BLM folks screamed that the kid was white and the gorilla shouldn’t be killed to protect the little cracker.

Initial stories listed the boy as white, and the moronosphere known as Facebook and Twitter erupted with vile ‘white privilege’ posts.

So it would be nice for that misconception to be corrected.

Some black lives (don't) matter supporters originally thought the boy was White and made comments blaming the killing of the gorilla on “White Privilege”.

When they thought the kid was white, they screamed bloody murder that the gorilla shouldn’t have been killed to save the kid.

When they found out the kid was black... never mind.

The bigger issue is that the media covers up black on white crime, especially extreme cases like this...

But in the rare instance a white person kills a black person you never hear the end of it.

It’s only relevant as another example of poor black parenting. The surprise is that the father is still in the picture.

It became relevant when the first reports were a White Child, and the Black Lives Matter crowd screamed RASCISM ( with hysterical lack of self awareness of what they were saying).

On Twitter, and other social media, black people (including black lies matter) were sticking up for the gorilla over the 'white boy". Equating the gorilla's killing with cops shooting a Michael Brown in some cases. That changed when the boy was discovered to be black.

In other words, many black americans feel more kinship with gorillas than they do white people.

I'm not an animal expert. Suffice to say I'm not an expert of primate behavior. But I feel that the child was in no danger from the gorilla. I say that because the gorilla no doubt could see that this, living thing, for lack of a better term was small and didn't present a threat. The animal could no doubt see that. If it supposed otherwise I'm sure at best the gorilla might just have moved to a corner of it's enclosure and kept an eye on the child waiting perhaps and confident that any attempt at aggression by this small being would easily have been rebuffed. If by some chance an adult have fallen into the enclosure the animal I'm sure would have perceived there was a threat and the unfortunate adult would have been pummeled to death. I think more than anything the poor animal was startled and somewhat confused by the sudden appearance of this little thing into its world and was probably waiting for the other humans to do something about coming to get the child.

Ummmmmmmmmm...perhaps because the parents aren't married and the father is a big deal in a gang, with a rap sheet a mile long?

And frankly, if the kid had been white, it would have been talked about.

Also, that gorilla wasn't harming the boy; it look as though he was trying help him. OTOH, he didn't follow his handlers orders and leave and no, nobody knew what he would have done.
