I had not come across anything that described how the child fell into the gorilla pit, or film of the child’s fall if film existed.
How was it even possible?
As for the gorilla, there was no sign of protection of the child. The beast was suspicious and curious, not protective, and jerking the child under water to drag him several feet, TWICE, is one example of danger, not protection.
The gorilla could not figure out the clothes on the child, he was not “straightening” the damn things out for the boy, as I heard on TV coverage. Then off he drug the boy again, under water, and around the bend of the cliff.
You can not “wait and see” if the gorilla comes to like your child. Calling aggression “protection” is absurd.
From an interview I saw, a woman who was close by said the boy kept saying he wanted to go into the water. The mother kept telling him no! She then said the child slid under a fencing and then (my presumption is) he probably slid down the cement wall of the water canal.
LOL. I just can’t get excited about this dead gorilla despite the mental breakdowns on Facebook.
