AIDS kills yet we never see leftist telling queers to stop having sex.
Congratulations! Now, try not to hang around other smokers. That’s one of the major factors of recidivism.
OOPS, that should be 35 cents a pack.
Of course not, because AIDS has, and IS, a “civil right.”
It doesn’t cost a fortune if you’re not a sheep.
And it doesn’t kill everyone. Most ill effects are genetic or the lack of genetics.
That said eventually I will quit. My habit costs me maybe $50 a month and it’s chemical free.
Falling is one way to phrase it. Dying is the other.
People can’t afford to smoke most likely
I’ve never smoked anyway, but if I had wanted to the cost would stop me. How do people afford it?
Angry is putting it mildly. The smoking wars are over. Yes, a few skirmishes need to be fought, but the main battle is over.
They steal.
Live in Public housing and get food stamps. In other words WE pay for it.
The government isn’t going to like this. Tax revenue from smoking is yuge!
And THE PIPES OF SCOTLAND will play as they lay me to the Earth!
This trend will contribute to the coming bankruptcy of several state governments.
You can be sure they did not include a decline in tobacco revenues in their budget estimates.
After 58 years of two-packs-a-day, I bought a vape. In three days my cough stopped (completely) and my nose cleared up. That was two years ago last Sunday. Never even thought about cigarettes once I started vaping.
Doesn’t work for everyone. Many friends relapsed. But when it works, it works.
where do u get the tobacco?
How do you get 25 cents/pack? What kind of tobacco and where do you get it? I make them too, but it costs me 55 cents/pack.
You pay more simply because your risk of serious health crises goes way up... My father would be alive today had he not smoked its that simple.
should other “behaviors” also be penalized? probably some yes...
Mark my words. Brace yourselves because this will be cited as a reason to raise other taxes at the state level due to a loss of revenue in the tobacco tax.
After 15 years, I quit smoking in 1981 and started running the same weekend. Haven’t touched a butt since then and I still run.
