Very odd how it spiked in 2008-2009, kept on, then seems to have dropped off in 2016.
I would be much more curious to know the number of mass shooting events per year, not the number of victims. If you have a single mass shooting in each of 2 years but the first event results in 1 death and 1 injury, while the following year’s shooting kills 10 and wounds 40, on your graph it would look like a 50 fold increase in mass shootings when really you had the same number of incidents in both years. No increase at all.
I looked for a graph of shooting incidents by year but I cant find one. But then goole has made it much harder the past few years for me to find everything from the conservative view point I used to be able to easily find.
