I have mixed feelings about Indians. On the one hand, my doctor is a Hindu and is delightful as well as very good. But when I go into Macy’s and the line is held up because an Indian is actually trying to haggle over a swimsuit as if we were in the bazaar, I go crazy. Not to mention the bank tellers who dread handing money over to me! Or the one who insisted at the grocery store that some item was for free and held up the line for 20 minutes until a revolt occurred. As my mother used to say: “They’re money people.” Boy, is she right about that!
But the doctors at the hospital she goes to are very good. And they don’t hold up the line!
That is funny! That would make a good comedy routine for a situation comedy because many people have seen the same type of thing play out.
I was selling some exercise equipment on Craigslist. Weights that are not in a machine are called “free weights”. I put an add up that was headlined, “Weight Set including 750 Pounds of Free Weights, $395”. I had an Indian guy who said he wanted just the “free weights”. After I explained it to him and we went round and round... he still insisted that my ad was misleading and flagged it.
Not to mention the bank tellers who dread handing money over to me!
