When Jimmy Kimmel asked Hillary Clinton in a late-night TV interview about U.F.O.s, she quickly corrected his terminology.
“You know, there’s a new name,” Mrs. Clinton said in the March appearance. “It’s unexplained aerial phenomenon,” she said. “U.A.P. That’s the latest nomenclature.”
Known for her grasp of policy, Mrs. Clinton has spoken at length in her presidential campaign on topics ranging from Alzheimer’s research to military tensions in the South China Sea. But it is her unusual knowledge about extraterrestrials that has struck a small but committed cohort of voters.
Mrs. Clinton has vowed that barring any threats to national security, she would open up government files on the subject, a shift from President Obama, who typically dismisses the topic as a joke. Her position has elated U.F.O. enthusiasts, who have declared Mrs. Clinton the first “E.T. candidate.”

And how did that bit of info get out?
Clearly, the guys with 22 to 30 levels above leaked it as cover.
Nobody in the actual paranormal community calls it that anyway.
And none of them seriously believe she is going to do anything.
21 security levels above the president? Does the president have any access at all? I’ve never heard that before.
I might be wrong, but my understanding is that there is a lot that the President isn't told unless there's some specific need for it.
I think it was Bill Clinton that made the same promise many years ago.

According to old-time Clintonite Webb Hubbell, Bill gave him a mission back in the ’90s, as Hubbell was becoming a top Justice Department official: “I want you to find the answers to two questions for me. One, who killed JFK? And two, are there UFOs?”
As The Post’s late, great Washington Bureau chief, Deborah Orin, later noted, “Hubbell describes his failure to find out about JFK and UFOs as a big regret when he had to resign” to plead guilty to bilking law clients back in Arkansas.
