“...he is all that stands in the way of a generation...or more...of Marxist rule...”

It is unfortunate for America that more of the weak-minded electorate do not realize this horrid fact.

its not mismanagement...TPTB are doing everything exactly the way they want...

they want no boundaries...they want free access to sell their crap everywhere...they want to restrict some items to send the prices skyrocketing and impoverishing more and more people....see pharmaceuticals....perfect example..

and, as they unleash foreign animals to be around us, the chaos that it creates is the cream on top...

animal dung, all of them.....

“There are two ways to deal with refugees: one is to promote dialogue, and inclusion; the other to be unwelcoming and uncaring”

A third way is to make them go elsewhere.

Correct problem, asinine conclusion by the author. The author seems to thing inclusion and tolerance is the answer for a refugee crisis. The answer is to turn them away before they become a problem. But I agree that history has an interesting way of repeating itself.

The author’s conclusion is just what he is ‘supposed’ to say.

Of course immigrants who truly wish to fully join and ar truly needed should be welcome. That has made our country and others prosper.

Accepting immigrants that don’t want to integrate and aren’t needed is a recipe for disaster. It’s so stupid that I can’t think of an example from history of it occurring.

It IS a common practice in history for invaders to drive vanquished before them to sap the defender’s resources.

We don’t have a “mismanagement” problem. We have a problem with the managers. They are orchestrating the demise on purpose.

F U B O!!

Rome: Barbarians from the north, roads fell into disrepair, values eroded, reliance on the govt., laziness prevailed, etc.

The migrants trying to get to Europe right now are not about to raise up in arms...

They will not have to. The new mayor of London, 1 of 8 children born to a Pakistani bus driver and seamstress, demonstrates all they need to do is flood the elections. Perhaps with the help of liberals, at least initially. In the interim, they can rely on host housing and assistance.

There are two ways to deal with refugees: one is to promote dialogue, and inclusion; the other to be unwelcoming and uncaring.

The author is either terribly naive or scheming. She limits us to one of two choices, one of which is to open the door and the other designed to shame us.

Today’s “Crisis” is a people of incompatible ideology advancing a physical invasion under the guise of refugees.

The errant conclusion stated in the article is as Leftist as it gets. .

There is another way, just don't let them in.

It wasn’t an immigrant crisis...Romans took them to fight for them....wrong answer (obviously) the society got too self-indilgent on their own a huge difference in comparison to the USA right now. The majority of Americans recognize this form of self destruction and reject it...I.E. TRUMP. Rome imploded because of the thinking of hard work performed by others will keep the deciders in the soft luxury ...similar to the cloward Piven leftists currently in the works. Not a hard thing to compare....but an entirely different group of citizens ....mainly armed and ready populous of our republic in comparison to ANCIENT ROME....guess they weren’t as smart as they are portrayed huh?

There are housing shortages in every US job-creating region I know.

People like my friend need massive (~$1,000/month/housing unit) federal housing subsidies, as do hundreds of thousands of the people who live in the DC area.

Without housing, a talented actor can not work in the Los Angeles area.

Without housing, a maid can’t clean a hotel room in Falls Church, Virginia.

The Chinese simply do not permit people to live in a city without a permit.

Hard work isn’t enough. A willingness to assimilate isn’t enough.

There must be enough housing that is price matched to the wages paid.

Oh, yeah. Quartz. Quarts is put together by, and are interested in, some of the creepiest people on earth.

On their site is also a story about a gal who is a dancer. She has invetned a sensor that detects every earthquake in the world. The sensor is implanted near her elbow. The way she gives performance is to wait on stage for an earthquake to happen, then she dances according to the vibrations. She calls herself a Cyborg Artist.

That's the mentality of Quartz and the kind of people they're interested in. Brainless.

the gist of this seems to be that the Romans let the goths in and then weren’t generous enough with giving them provisions so they destroyed Rome. What’s the point, that Europe needs to treat the muslims better? That won’t do anything but delay the inevitable, if that.

Hey that is a good thing to remember. There are some serious parallels.

I posted this on both of my facebook friends walls.

My hope is that they will get it out there.

——That wasn’t free land—it was in the Roman empire, under the rule of Valens—and so Fritigern, who was leading the Goths asked to “be received by him as his subjects, promising to live quietly, and to furnish a body of auxiliary troops if any necessity for such a force should arise.” Rome had a lot to gain from this. Those lands needed cultivating, and more soldiers were always welcome by the empire. “By combining the strength of his own people with these foreign forces,” Marcellinus writes of Valens, “he would have an army absolutely invincible.”——

——As a sign of gratitude to Valens, Fritigern converted to Christianity.——

To relate this historic event to an Islamic invasion happening today in the form of a refuge crisis is apple and oranges...

There is no assimilation or acceptance of western culture or living quietly..

the conclusion of the article may not be correct. The assumption is that you must let them in and then treat them nicely. Doesn’t have a prescription for not letting them in in the first place.
