Progressives and democrats seem to have become obnoxiously intolerant of all other viewpoints. In my community they hate people who hold religious values, believe in the value of the 2nd amendment, or are Republicans. I have never seen democrat / progressives so hateful. They seem insane with the hateful comments they make gratuitously.

The comments at the NYTimes website are very telling. Liberals are comfortable with their bias and intolerance and believe they have justification for it.

The cleansing of campuses and education in general of any anti-progressive thought is/was pragmatic, insincere and intentional, not the result of some unconscious bias - which is the sort Kristof is addressing.

Kristof knows enough history to know this, so my assumption is that this piece is also pragmatic, insincere and intentional ... or ... he doesn't ... which makes him exactly what the lefty seed planters hoped for ... a pure, sincere, authentic member of the cult.
