or this reason among others, I do not understand the impulse of the NeverTrump people to anathametize and shun those Republicans who will not vow to oppose Mr. Trump and commit to defeating him. They have been warned that if they dont do these things they will not be allowed to help rebuild the party after Mr. Trump destroys it. Conservatives love to throw conservatives out of conservatism; its like an ancestral tic. But great political movements should not be run like private clubs. And have the anathemitizers noticed they arent in charge anymore? That in the great antiestablishment disruption of 2016 they have been upended, too?

“Half the country wants something for nothing, and the other half wants to be left alone and not forced to pay for it.”

Watching Lou Dobbs on Fox Biz. WOW! He’s doing a good job! He will be on again later, and it is worth dvr-ing.
They get along with the Democrats very well because they believe in a one world government with the U.S. subservient to international control.
They never have been. They’ve been chameleons. Shape shifters.

#nevertrump is the laxative that induced a healthy cathartic movement in the GOP.
The mission is to close with and destroy the enemy.
Not to have lunch with the sons of bitches!

Agreed.
Sure, she’ll throw us a bone now and then, but her loyalties are elsewhere.
She is feeling the tree shake.
She likes to hear herself write.
Most of the leadership and public face of the #nevertrumpers are neo-con artists and their open-borders toadies. They invaded the republican party starting in the 1980’s, migrating from the democrat party like a virus. They are much more comfortable with Hillary than they are with Trump, because they were (and still are) democrats at heart.
I used to like her, but now all of her comments are cloaked with this annoyingly wistful tone of lament and loss. They read like diary entries written by a mommy who just dropped her kid off for her first day of school. Toughen up, Noonan.
This one was pretty good, too (underlines mine):
"And have the anathemitizers noticed they arent in charge anymore?"
That would be one of them. But no question the woman, at least at one point in her life, could string some words together!
She’s been great on the Trump phenomenon. Truly.
I was (still am) a Cruz supporter. Consider myself a staunch constitutional conservative...with a sliver of libertarianism.
That said, I’ve no problem supporting Trump. First...constitutional conservatism, next Nationalism. America first in all things. Period.
Americans have given and given to the point of pain. Now it’s time for America/Americans to focus on ourselves. Trump is leading the way. Good on him.
For those who vow to vote for someone other than Trump, I say, kiss your country goodbye if that supreme court goes hard left. All that you’ve held sacred will be subverted.
Trump/Gingrich 2016
Hear, hear!!
The answer is that Trump’s fans from the beginning came on as obnoxious and frankly, childish. They had no interest in winning people over. And now you’ve created a rift. Their habit of projection doesn’t help because it prevents them from figuring out the problem and stop doing it doesn’t help.
It was no more attractive seeing republicans engage in that, than it was seeing Democrats when they went all crazy over Obama.
The other reason people are angry is because their voice could not be heard on any issue of importance and no debate took place even in so-called debates... because the media made all the questions about Trump from the beginning in order to advance their ratings [he’s like a human car chase] , and people wanting to hear other candidates’ views get aired and discussed never got to hear them. That created one heck of a lot of resentment. That’s not Trump’s fault- he was doing what he knew how to do- but the media fell for it like they can’t resist showing a high speed car chase in LA, and did not do their job of reporting the news in a balanced way. They became fans themselves and denied other candidates their due. Paparazzi.
And there’s going to be resentment in those states which never had a say because it was decided before they even vote.
The last election ticked me off enormously because of the same negativity and mudslinging and lying- and the fact it was decided before we even got our say. The media chose the candidate then and chose our candidate now, with no input from most of the country’s Republicans.
The fire is the “mad as hell” people that voted for Trump!
