FULL TITLE: Sikh man pulled off Greyhound bus after being falsely accused of terror bomb threat - before being held for 30 hours by police and photographed without his turban
A Sikh man is demanding authorities bring charges against a woman who falsely accused him of making a bomb threat and led to him being pulled off a Greyhound bus at gunpoint, detained for 30 hours and photographed without his turban.
Daljeet Singh, who is from the Punjab region of India, had been travelling by Greyhound from Phoenix, Arizona, to Indianapolis, Indiana, on February 21, when another passenger reported he was 'acting weird'.
He was legally in the United States after being granted asylum and as an observant member of the Sikh faith, he has never shorn his hair and wears a turban in public at all times.

More victims than the Gander plane crash that December which killed US peacekeepers returning to Fort Campbell, KY (which was not caused by terrorism).
This could have been avoided if our schools required kids to take Punjabi.
Not to stereotype or anything... But a certain type of hyphenated Americans patronize Greyhound.
Sikhs are not Arab or Muslim.
So what?

Yep.
Demonstrations of that are all around us.
however, there should no penalty for reporting activities.
Maybe there should be "falsely shouting fire in a crowded theatre " and all.
Why would this vemale think a Sikh was speaking Arabic? Right she's from Rio Linda.
And Arabic or Punjabi, how does she know they were discussing bombs? Little known fact: Arabic has no word for "bomb"
Repeat often
Kaboooooom!!! is universally understood to be the international spoken word for bomb. Maybe he said Kabooooooom!
This thread has devolved into silliness.
Really?
this is a sikh
This is an Arab
this is an Irani
This is a Greek
This is a Maronite Christian Lebanese man
and this is a Sicilian
Everyone looks alike to you?
If the woman in question made stuff up in her report, then she should be charged.
If it was a "reasonable" misunderstanding, then she should not.
As per their religion, Sikhs can’t trim their beards. Many do — yes, but it’s akin to a sin — Sikhs are supposed to maintain the 5 ks all the time — wear their hair long (a la Samson) - meaning never trim the hair anywhere (neither on their heads or beards or moustachios)
also it is kind of strange calling a Sikh a Moslem — it’s like calling a Jew a Nazi — the Moslems tried to exterminate Sikhs — having tortured to death the first 9 of the Sikh religion founders. Though, the Moslems did then turn a previously non-violent religion into a martial race...
While I certainly agree with you in principle, it will be another case of “he said, she said” from which lawyers profit. It will become quickly apparent that it does not pay to report something suspicious, due to the fact the reporter herself may be in legal jeopardy.
There definitely needs to be some serious investigation, but I doubt that fully fabricated allegations against the Sikh would be supported by other passengers.
There has to be a balance, otherwise too much power is invested on one side or the other - and we know that the more liberal side will seek to take full advantage of the imbalance.
Several of your pictures are unviewable on my laptop due to their size.
Um, those are actual toys in a bathtub, with a fair amount of photoshopping.
