Boycott the Pro Cruz article spammers
Vanity | May 1, 2016 | Kudsman

Sorry for the vanity, but this is getting tiresome to me. The same few posters find any drivel to support Lyin' Ted or any screed to jab Mr. Trump. We all know who they are. What if nobody responds to their attempts to incite? Maybe the threads die out sooner and some of the invectives against one another lessen.

I know that I have been purposely avoiding even reading articles posted by the select few. I have found my blood pressure to be much better once I started ignoring the falling trees.

Any time. I agree that we all have the option to choose the information or opinion we will consume or present.

Thanks again for calling me names. It is so endearing to know someone calls me low thought process...well almost endearing.

FR has become a Trump love fest forum. After 16 years with FR...goodbye all. I will find somewhere that has intelligent discourse.

Don't leave...please continue to post. We'll find out if FR is really dedicated to intelligent back and forth or one that allows no dissent.

I find it highly amusing that many of the people backing Trump would be incensed if you told them to stop criticizing another candidate. Even if that person was elected president.

But like another poster has said, Trump has been pushing the right emotional buttons. His backers will not tolerate any criticism. I've never anything like it on FR before, and I've been posting for almost twenty years.

You talk about “inciting” yet first thing in your post is “Lyin Ted.” You lose any credibility for your arguement right there.

It was you who made an unsupported assumption about my support of Sen. Cruz, simply because I said (in a post that wasn’t directed to you, btw), that I disapprove of calls to boycott certain news.

If it really matters to you, I think all the candidates are nattering gerbils, and I’d vote for Bill the Cat if he were on my ballot.

Trhmp engaged in personal destruction rather than policy debates. His latest was to criticize how Kasich eats pancakes... Many of Trumps followers still do the same. Count the number of attacks by each side in this thread... Far far more by the trump side, calling names, asking for more bans, dancing on the graves of bans they got.

Next Trump picks a social moderate for VP, then the base stays home again.

I’ve been labeled a racist for supporting Cruz by a proTrump spammer on this site

That's unfortunate, I've been called a "pos" for not liking The Donald. What I can't stand is the maligning of people in the media who've been stalwarts for the conservative cause for years or decades. Like Limbaugh, Levin, and many others who don't jump on the Trump bandwagon.

They're all now accused of being part of the "establishment." Now they're paid shills for the Democrats and secretly hate conservatives. People who've done tremendous work for the conservative cause over the years are now "traitors" because they don't support a person who has helped liberals far more than conservatives over the decades.

That's how crazy it's gotten. As is Trump hasn't been part of it himself with his donations to Dems over the decades.

It is you who assumed the poster meant anything more than personal boycotting to lower his B/P might help others too rather than a major public campaign.

BTW I think Bill the Cat would likely do a better job for the American people than many elected in Congress. Even a low thought person such as I have been called thinks a cat might at least care about us.

Ignoring people is shutting them down?

Perhaps not - but I prefer to try to "educate" them.

If one is spouting a bunch of crap and goes uncontested by those who disagree, then the person only gets reinforcement by those who do agree.

I consider them to be "problems" in our endeavor to take substantive actions in the task of turning things around - ignoring the problem is not as effective as taking it head on - unless one doesn't believe that their own take on things is actually the right one with sustainable evidence to back them up.

Does it ever bother you when the Dems and their ilk get to spout a bunch of lies via the MSM and never have anything they say challenged? Lack of substantive response emboldens them and they keep taking slashing cuts at our Freedoms.

To each his own though - if one prefers to timidly ignore them (while thinking they're doing something of substance) then more power to them.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it......

The thing about cats is that we know they care only for themselves, making them predictable. Come to think of it, that describes my County Commissioners pretty well, too ...

There is a 0% chance that our Constitution will be adhered to because of any upcoming election results. There just aren't enough of us to make that happen. That is even more apparent now on FR. I am now a fan of the liberals Cloward/Priven Strategy. If the Constitution is to be restored it will only rise from the ashes after a significant and inevitable collapse.

Keeping my powder dry and wistfully remembering the early years of FR.

hmmm. ban me please—I mean it. because this website has changed so much in the past 16 years. the Trump people remind me of Hillary who told Sanders he had to tone down his rhetoric. free speech will now be dead on this website because of the aggressiveness and vitriol of Trump supporters. Mean is the word. You can say everything and anything about Cruz but when someone raises a hand to defend Cruz against this onslaught of lies and attacks, you cry foul. Strange though—I noticed when Cruz was accused of alleged adultery, this site roundly discussed and re-discussed that allegation. But when Donald Trump was SUED this past week for past alleged rape, you could hear the crickets. You have become what you hated.

That still would mean cats might care more for us than many elected officials. They care that they get feed by us although as you say that too is self interest. Most politicians don’t show even that much respect for those who vote them in.

Cats have to keep the servants alive and serving. (So don’t sit on the stairs in the dark, Jake!) Politicians, once their lifetime pensions and health insurance benefits are vested, are scot-free.

Look at that I think we can agree on one thing. Cats are better than most politicians as long as we feed them. It just politicians get all their food (benefits, pensions) at one time then no longer need us. Have a great day!

I was told that Judgment Day would be balmy for me because it was going to be warm where I’m going.

This was apparently because in her opinion I support the sin of bearing false witness.

Lots of irony there that was obviously lost to her.

I logged on today for the first time in a week or so to see if it was any better. The first post I see is one that advocates elimination of all but a single point of view. What more can I say.

I had the same idea. Thought I would avoid "News/Activism" and just read "General Interest Chat", which usually has some very interesting reading. I was disappointed to find that just about every other thread was either slamming Cruz or just more Trump worship. Really disappointing.
