No its not. Mormonism had an object lesson for girls that if you were raped or had sex at all before marriage you were a licked cupcake or chewed gum and no ‘worthy’ man would want you. Furthermore, leaders taught it was better to be killed than be raped so if you lived you consented to the rape or allowed it. That is why Elizabeth didn’t leave.
For the guy’s part, he believed he was told by God that she was to be his wife. That is common Mormon teaching, he just kidnapped her (in his mind rescued her). Its all based in Mormon theology

You are putting blame on the wrong person. I was hoping someone would find that evil you-know-what and torture him like he did her! She is fortunate to have turned out as “normal” as she has, and it sounds like she is putting her nightmare to good purpose.
