DIGAMY is a "second marriage." it rhymes with bigamy but is legal after a divorce, an annulment or the death of a first spouse. Johnson called it the triumph of "hope over experience."
In a Marx Brothers film Groucho, although already married, proposes to the suprisingly unflappable, or at least insufficiently outraged Margaret Dumont. "But that would be bigamy!" says she. "Big o' you?" cries Groucho, "It would be big o' me!"
Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the Word for the Day in a sentence.
The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day.
the media’s tune will change once he’s a done deal; then the onslaught will really begin.

freepers put much stock in the dilbert creator, but he is anathema to me after he wished death upon those who oppose euthanasia. just another instance of what would otherwise be abhorrent being embraced so long as it is pro-trump.
Scott Adams has an interesting take on it. In a way, he is explaining to the Trump fans how/why they are being hypnotized.
A single young man who doesn’t want to stay in New Orleans for the weekend?
he’s going this Saturday and will be there with his peeps for sat-sunday and this coming week. the second week he will be there on his own, and doesn’t feel the need to hang around by himself there. his job is so cushy, it drives his sister nuts. he will likely get 2-3 comp days out of this because of traveling and working on the weekend, and he already has very generous leave. And he is still coaching spring league Gonzaga hockey for another month [for which he’s getting paid a nice chunk of change]. he has a pretty nice life.
That is a well written article - we were so worried about democratic socialism we didn’t see them pushing totalitarianism on us...

I am a firm believer in everything in moderation... including moderation.
I know xsboy enjoys adult beverages with his friends, but he is not one who would want to be out by himself in a city where he knows no one.
