Most of the nastiness was precipitated by Cruz trolls (or Hillary trolls posing as Cruz trolls) who were apparently paid by their masters to hack old but inactive FR accounts so they can pose as long time members.

In the last few days, JimRob has zotted nearly 50 of the worst of them and things have SUBSTANTIALLY settled down since then.
