A Kennewick man was arrested Monday morning after he allegedly struck a neighbor with the neighbors own gun, causing it to fire, following a scuffle over loud music.
The 25-year-old neighbor approached Codie Supak, 35, early that morning about the latters stereo, which was playing so loudly that it woke other residents in the apartment complex at 2604 W. Bruneau Place, a release said.
Thats when Supak became confrontational and started assaulting the neighbor, causing a .40-caliber semi-automatic pistol the neighbor had tucked in his gym shorts to fall to the ground.
Supak picked up the gun and pointed it at the neighbor but the scuffle continued. It was after Supak struck the neighbor in the head with the gun, causing it to fire, that he dropped it and fled into his apartment.
The neighbor picked up his gun and locked it in his car before calling police. Supak refused to open his door to officers and after they secured a warrant they broke through it and found Supak hiding in a bedroom.
Supak was booked into the Benton County jail for second-degree assault and felon in possession of or discharging a firearm.
“NOT a Glock?”
Not even a Taurus.
I’ll beet hw wishes he had turned down the damned stereo now.
For six months I had a neighbor who played gangsta rap till 5 am. Cops didn’t do anything (Eagan MN PD cop said I was a racist). Apartment manager did nothing. So I placed the speakers against the wall and turned it up past 11 (take that Spinal Tap). I started his morning with Iron Maiden. It progressed to Motörhead, Corrosion of Conformity, Napalm Death. I think I finally scared him away with Dimmu Borgir.
Wake ‘em up with Dixie and Bonnie Blue Flag. Then some Hoyt Axton. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f8ZA_8l3YVg
We used to throw in Metallica when I was in the Army and the....errrrr...ethnics would congregate in the halls and get loud.
Worked every time.
I didn’t like my Swock .40 at first, but now it’s on my night stand. And the trigger doesn’t allow any `oopsies.’ You gotta mean it.
One word: Bagpipes.

“Gun goes off” is right up there with “SUV runs over...” in the stupid headline department. God, I hate “journalists”...
I remember twice people with loud music playing. We were three blocks away and it was LOUD! called the police, they tok care of the problem.
My wife’s nephew had the same problem in the apartment complex he was living in. He asked the neighbors to turn down their music as he was next door and it was keeping him up. They laughed and turned it up louder. Big mistake.
My wife’s nephew had a stereo system to die for! He simply placed his huge speakers toward the wall and started playing really LOUD acid rock! The neighbors gave up!
You win the internet.
Ah, yeah.
The “Native American” guy who is totally *not* European looking, at *all*.
:::major eye roll:::
Hmmm - wonder if he had his hand on the trigger - that style is tough to get an “accidental” discharge from.
Many years ago I got a call about loud music and when I pulled up there were people outside drinking and smoking pot. As we were talking to the people my partner taps me on the shoulder and said look over there! Two dirt bikes and a 4 wheeler matching the description of items stolen in a recent burglary were sitting in a shed. Called the SO and had the Sheriff get us a search warrant for the out buildings and house. In short just over 35,000. dollars worth of stolen equipment and other items were found along with a small grow operation in a back room of the house where 42 plants were removed. All this was brought about because some idiot wanted to play his music loud.
lol. In our house before this one Pakis moved in next door. They never ran their air and kept their windows and sliding doors open all day and night.....while they played their ‘yah yah’ music loud. Hubby came home from work one morning and I had set the stereo speakers in the kitchen window facing their house and put on Ted Nugent and turned it all the way up. It was 8 am. He said.....we’re moving. lol
I know it’s crazy, but common sense tells me the more pot I grow, the quieter my stereo should be.
1 plant = normal volume
3 plants = low volume
5 plants and above = no volume!
It’s actually part of my overall mission statement.
