I readily admit to being bigoted against muslims.
Can't stand 'em...don't want 'em around me...ain't got no use for 'em.
But as far as this coffin and embalming thing, that is a scam by the organized Funeral Directors.
Soil has been checked in the vicinity of mass graves and burial sites and found to have no deleterious effect on the water or the environment, and it ain't as if they were going to bury 500 bodies at one time...although that wouldn't bother me, either, if it guaranteed we would be free of the demon pedophile worshipers.
When God (the True God, not that moon god allah what the hell ever) said dust to dust, that's what He meant.
Studies have shown that a body not otherwise contaminated (some viruses and organisms can survive for eons) will be rendered into harmless components within six months if properly buried, depending on the soil type, etc.
Ideally, it should be naked and not less that six feet deep, but I believe muslim custom is to shroud the body for burial, but a plain cotton shroud should not curtail the decomposition of the body.
So, as much I would protest anything muslim...this is not something I'll get upset about...and truth be known, I advocate it for everybody.
These damned vaults and sealed coffins with a preserved body are stupid.
I have a 75 years guarantee on the vault of my wife's burial...I asked the Funeral Director who the hell was gonna check in 75 years.
He said it was all about peace of mind...and to this day, I imagine her lying there, intact, waiting for the last day of the guarantee, to finally be rendered unto the dust that God said she would be.
But try to fight it...and see how far you get.
The Funeral Business lobby is powerful...very powerful.
The only other alternative is cremation and they screw you on that, also.
I've prepaid mine and had a hell of a fight with them over the cost of the coffin that they were going to burn me in.
Took a lot of hell raising to get them to stipulate to a plain cardboard container for my body to put into to be shoved into the oven.
Damned vultures.
It's on and on with these invaders and I DON'T TRUST THEM ONE BIT!
