Oh, there might be a nasty problem. But it has nothing to do with CERN IMHO. The scale of forces involved is just too different.
The guy at BP Earth Watch keeps track of the periods that CERN is at high power and correlates it with anomalies in the magnetosphere. If you want to believe this is just coincidence that these disturbences happen at the same time, be my guest.
