The guy at BP Earth Watch keeps track of the periods that CERN is at high power and correlates it with anomalies in the magnetosphere. If you want to believe this is just coincidence that these disturbences happen at the same time, be my guest.

You cannot displace a magnetic field of that magnitude and not bring every electrical grid in the world down. So the data is faulty. This is, indeed, how a solar storm manifests itself - by displacing the geomagnetic field by much less than you are implying.
Whatever the earths magnetic field does is wholly independent of anything going on at CERN.
I will. Compared to the Earth’s magnetic field, CERN is like holding a powerful hand-held magnet next to the generators a Hoover Dam. It is not even a rounding error of a rounding error.
