I’ve never heard of anyone attending a cremation.
My late sister In law was Japanese. Her brother & father attended her cremation as is their custom. Her husband, my brother in law, just couldn’t bear to witness such an event. So he stayed home.
there are services at the crematorium and the special casket slides into the oven.
