145? That would be a tough cut for him. He would be a beast if he could make that weight but I don’t think so. Has someone suggested that? Too bad he can’t ever fight Connor MacGregor in the UFC now, I’d like to see that.
I think he should and probably will go back down to 155. I think he can beat Will Brooks and Michael Chandler without too much trouble.
He could win a lot of fights at 170 but against elite guys like this Russian guy, he’s gonna struggle.
The Russian guy last night looked huge compared to Bendo.
It’s so weird that they are having DC do commentary.
I can’t believe OSP has made it to the 4th.
OSP makes it to the 5th.
It appears Cormier gave up his best chance to beat JBJ. Ring rust will be well gone by July.
Damn, OSP made it all five rounds.
I wasn’t expecting a lot from OSP due to taking the fight on three weeks notice. JBJ wasn’t real impressive at all. I guess he was playing it safe for the UFC 200 match, plus ring rust.
I think he’ll still have his way with Cormier again.
The rust wore off as the fight went on, OSP was fortunate to make it to the score cards.
Yeah, JBJ had him in some bad situations in round 4 and 5. JBJ definitely looked better as the fight went on. Which is why I was surprised OSP made it to the end.
Did you notice that JBJ seemed to be limping?
I didn’t. I hope it’s nothing serious that further delays the rematch.
I think Pettis needs to take some time off, and hopefully rediscover the “Eye of the Tiger” as Apollo Creed would put it.
So MacGregor tweets he’s back on UFC 200, congratulates the UFC for getting it done.
Dana White says no, the fight is still off.
MacGregor perhaps should consider not tweeting anymore.
What ze heck!?
Connor seems like he’s going out of his way to make an ass of himself ;/
Is it just me or Conner just a lighter weight version of Tito Ortiz?
No, I think Connor’s striking is much more refined than Tito’s was.
I remember that Tito’s main gig was turning his opponent into hamburger while laying full guard, and never trying to advance to half, side control or mount.
Connor seeks to win by way of left hook to the button.
No I mean the way he promotes his fights and his way of doing business with the UFC.
Uh hmmm, I’m not sure in that regard.
I think one main difference would be that I do not recall twitter being around during Tito’s time, so in the very least he could not make a fool of himself on that.
I do recall Tito making a fool of himself in other ways though.
I ended up not liking him quite thoroughly after a while.
I was not happy with him moving to Bellator, because I thought man here I’m going to have to watch this idiot again.
But I did enjoy watching Liam McGeary beat him in such a skillful manner with an inverted triangle. Tito was pissed!
But I got to give Tito credit, he showed fine character and gave Liam proper respect after the match. I don’t know what’s to become of Tito now, but I don’t feel like I hate him as much anymore.
Conor is an impulsive tweeter, much like a certain presidential candidate. Now that I think of it, I wouldn’t mind seeing a twitter war between McGregor and Trump. Conor is a loser, he couldn’t even beat a skinny pothead. Sad!
LOL
Jones/DC 2 is on for UFC 200.
Aldo/Edgar 2 is still for the interim title. The first in history with the division champ uninjured and ready to fight, ridiculous, defend it or vacate it.
Ronda Rousey to produce 3 lifetime movies with Serena Williams and Janet Jackson.....uh....
Thing about Nate, even though he is a skinny pothead, is that dude has got some long ass limbs.
I noticed this during their face off. He could basically extend his arm and hold Connor out by his forehead.
But hat guy also knows how to use his limbs to do damage, and he can take some damage too.
Nate can be a jerk, but that is one tough SOB. I gotta give that dude credit.
