When Donald Trump spoke earlier this week in Buffalo, media critics lambasted him for allegedly confusing 9/11 with 7/11. However, a theory emerged as to why Trump didnt misspeak, one that the media refuses to acknowledge.
The controversy all began Monday, as Trump was speaking before a crowd in Buffalo on the day before the New York primary. During the speech, he touted his 9/11 activism.
I wrote this out, and its very close to my heart, Trump said to the audience. Because I was down there and I watched our police and our firemen down at 7/11, down at the World Trade Center right after it came own. And I saw the greatest people Ive ever seen in action.
Donald Trump, who has made his advocacy for New York City after the 9/11 attacks central to his candidacy, accidentally referred to it on Monday as 7/11 the ubiquitous convenience store, CNN wrote with scarcely contained glee.
However, a new theory quickly emerged the fact that he was actually talking about the Greenville Fire Department, a department in the New York town of Scarsdale that was one of the first to respond to the 9/11 attacks.
The station is known as 711 because of its address, 711 Central Park Ave. And as one Facebook user close to the situation pointed out, the firefighters there were quoted as thanking Trump for his generous donations of time, services and goods, both for the firefighters and for the victims. And keep in mind, the way Donald phrased things made it sound a lot more like he was talking about a location, not a date. His words were our firemen down at 7/11, not our firemen on 7/11.

Haters... liberals are such haters...
Baloney. You need to get out more and learn about the world.
Screw em, every last one of ‘em.
lolol
I’d like TRUMP to clarify that himself. Not some other people saying what they think he really meant.
“He wouldn’t have said “down at 711.” Scarsdale would be “up” for him.”
Since he said it in Buffalo, wouldn’t any place close to NYC be “down”?
"Speaking with CNN's Ashley Banfield on "The Legal View" Tuesday about Trump's fumble, spokeswoman Katrina Pierson said, "After you've done several events over a short time period, people misspeak all of the time -- slip of the tongue."
Oh, that would be the Honorable Hank Johnson. Too many Navy/Marine personnel, along with their families, and the island may capsize or tip over.

“Levin cant stop screaming enough to apologize. I hope his show tanks.”
A Freeper posted Levin’s Arbitron ratings here, some time after he went full cruztard. The numbers don’t lie. He’s definitely lost market share over the last several months. It can only be due to his hyper support for Ted Cruz, and his incessant vitriolic attacks on Donald Trump.
I always love to hear good news.
I thought 7-11 was where Habib would sell you a Big Gulp. Oops, couldn’t. ‘New York Values’ and all that.
I know of one gas station where the ladies love guys named ‘Habib’.
Even a ladies bowling team.
Another possible MI for your list.
RECENT INTERNET CHATTER HAS LINKED GREENVILLE FIRE DISTRICT TO A COMMENT MADE BY A POLITICAL CANDIDATE.
PLEASE NOTE: GREENVILLE FIRE DISTRICT IS NEVER REFERRED TO, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE, AS "711".
There is an FDNY station called Engine 7, Ladder 1, Battalion 1 located five blocks from WTC. On 9/11, Film maker Jules Naudet was with members of 711 as they investigated a gas leak in lower Manhatten. Hearing a noise overhead, Jules swung his camera around just in time to capture Flight 11 entering WTC 1.
So, yeah, the blog post is garbage and the "recent internet chatter" is digital debris.
But Trump got it exactly right.
Or a Senator from Texas that thought his home state was Florida.
I’ve lost track of how many times that has worked for Trump
Immaterial.
Did she even discuss it with her boss?
If you listen to the media long enough they will have you believing multi billionaire presidential candidate Donald Trump is mentally retarded. Seriously, its that extreme.
