BREAKING: Target Stores Make MASSIVE Announcement… Parents ARE FURIOUS!

" Target Corp. made it clear Tuesday that transgender people who visit its stores are welcome to use the bathroom that aligns with their gender identity.

The statement by the Minneapolis-based retailer comes amid debates in many state legislatures over restricting public restroom use to the sex listed on a person’s birth certificate.

While many of those conversations have centered around restrooms in public schools and government buildings, Target appears to be one of the first big-box retailers to take a proactive stance in declaring its position on the matter when it comes to its own restrooms.

While they may not be technically public, restrooms in stores are often the most easily accessible and widely available options outside of people’s homes and workplaces.

Target’s position also extends to its fitting rooms.

“Inclusivity is a core belief at Target,” the company said in a statement on its corporate website. “It’s something we celebrate. We stand for equality and equity, and strive to make our guests and team members feel accepted, respected and welcomed in our stores and workplaces every day.”

The stalls in the Target store near us are not private. One can easily peek below and over the dividers.

NYC’s “Pronoun Law” in which you “might, under very narrow circumstances, be fined 250K for repeatedly using the wrong pronoun to a person”. Snopes makes it complicated, there is a lot to read to understand.

If my little niece enters a women's rest room, and a man soon follows her, I (a man) would be in there PDQ, carrying something heavy.

Actually, you would need to clear the bathroom first to make sure there wasn't some "transgender" pervert in there already.

Exactly, at my previous work. There were 2 types of restrooms. There were 2 restrooms (numerous stalls) for Male and Females; then we had 2 more restrooms on the other side of our department with 1 toilet and sink and it was for all. At first I felt uncomfortable but I got used to it because I realize we do not have a his or her bathroom (unless your wealthy) =)

I wish they have just signed their death certificate but as usual I fear conservatives, Christians and middle of the roaders will just cave and start going back.

I pulled the plug on them years ago. Hope they go bankrupt and their execs all end up homeless.

Show Target the “unintended consequences” of their decision...do all your shopping (not from Target) on line!

Now maybe I am just not paying attention, but it seems from the news that all the folks confused about their gender are males who want to enter the women’s bathrooms and locker rooms. Certainly there could not be any other motivation going on?

This initiative is another reason Target if off my list companies. They first left my list of companies to visit when they would not let Salvation Army bell ringers to set up shop. Their next step was to ban anyone with a concealed carry permit from entering their stores. Target is too similar to other retailers to not to consider this a religious instead of a business decision.

My solution would be to avoid any of these situations, and if I could not to accompany my wife or niece because I felt feminine that day.

You're right about that. Best to avoid the store altogether.

I’d say go to Walmart, but they had a CEO openly saying we don’t want so many white men as vendors.
So what do you do?

Me too. And anyway it’s getting to the point where this situation is going to be just unavoidable. People bring up Penney’s, but that’s the only company I know of which has fallen, and I seem to recall that that was really due to other factors, not strictly because of any boycott.

Why be outraged? All the parents have to do is stay the hell away from Target. I do not like the riff raft that Walmart attracts at night. So I do not go to Walmart at night.

This whole issue is really going to come to a head right after the first couple of times someone who isn’t ‘trans’ but a dyed-in-the-wool pervert tries to molest or photograph someone’s wife, daughter, or girlfriend in the restroom. Someone IS eventually going to charge into said restroom upon hearing a scream...and the pervert in question is going to end up, as the late Jerry Clower so aptly put it, “graveyard DEAD”.

Mark my words...somewhere in America, this WILL happen. And, I have a feeling it may happen sooner rather than later.

Can’t remember who, but somebody’s in trouble for posting a similar picture. They’re calling it homophobic.

Somebody suggested “family bathrooms.” Don’t know what makes ‘em “family”, but I’ve seen them. Normal restrooms plus family restrooms.
