Many of us believe he’s the strongest candidate against Clinton, that this election will determine the direction of the Supreme Court for the next two generations and I’d rather have him make those appointments than any of the other four, and that he has a life long conservative record with values much like my own.
I am trying to figure out how Kasich and “conservative” can be in the same sentence...He promises amnesty for illegals in his first 100 days, if elected president. He supports Common Core...he says the would veto any bill that doesn’t allow so-called trans-genders to use any restroom they want to.
He is NOT a conservative...he is a belt way moderate GOP elite establishment Rhino.
As for polls, general election polls mean nothing at this point. Reagan trailed Carter by 25 points at this stage in 1980.
If Kasich can only win his home state, and comes in forth in Utah behind Rubio who had dropped out, there is NO way he would be Hillary.
Here is my view of Kasich:
- Kasich voted for the Assault Weapons Ban. https://grabien.com/file.php?id=53463 and as of last year did not regret that vote
- Kasich supported and implemented Obamacares Medicare expansion http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/john-kasich-bible-medicaid_us_56140a54e4b022a4ce5fb1e3
- Kasich supports Amnesty for illegals. http://www.ontheissues.org/John_Kasich.htm
- Kasich dismissively said Christian bakers should bake the cupcake and participate in a gay parody of the sacrament of marriage, even if it violates their religious beliefs. https://www.frcaction.org/updatearticle/20160225/kasich-pushes
- Kasich supports Obamas nominee for the Supreme Court. http://www.cbsnews.com/news/john-kasich-id-consider-nominating-merrick-garland-supreme-court-election-2016/
As far as I can tell, those are not old views or comments taken out of context; they are Kasichs current and consistent positions. Is there something I posted that is inaccurate or inconsistent with Kasich’s real positions? Are there other issues you consider more important than immigration, the Second Amendment, Obamacare, and religious freedom, where Kasich is right? Even with the Supreme Court, I would expect his nominees to agree with his positions. I’m not sure how that is significantly different from Hillary’s positions.
