The line to get into Rainbow Gardens this afternoon was very long, with people waiting for more than an hour to get a good spot.
The venue anticipated 2,000 people to attend, and it looks like they predicted right.
Thousands of people are coming out to support Republican candidate Ted Cruz. The line wrapped around the Waldameer parking lot, with supporters waiting to listen to Cruz speak.
Many people are not surprised he chose to come to Erie and believe he can beat Trump for the nomination.
Some say they have supported Cruz from the very beginning, and others say they have recently made the switch to support him.
Overall, many people are happy he chose to speak in Erie saying it shows he is paying attention to the smaller cities.
One local GOP party volunteer was given the chance to ride the Ravine Flyer with the Presidential candidate and says it is something he will never forget.

If you search for “Cruz supporters flock to rally”....the original title of the article still shows up. Some of these Trump supporters are just like Trump. And no...that is NOT a compliment.
He didn’t change the damned title, duhuh. At the time he posted the article, that WAS the damned title.

That’s not a flock, it’s a gaggle.
You will still get attacked. It is what they do.
I have had titles changed after posting in past years and only a couple of times did anyone question me and it wasn’t an attack.
The animosity from many Trump supporters and some Cruz supporters is disheartening. I know it is tempting to attack back and I have been guilty, but we all should try to be civil.
Trump or Cruz will win the nomination. Anything else we should resist.

If that many were going to a ted talk, that will leave too few staffers behind who will be able to submit anti-Trump postings here on FR.

The 2000 Cruzers at the Cruz rally in Erie will do all they can to deny Trump and perpetuate the establishments crappy agenda to keep the border porous, keep immigration judgement poor by allowing people to immigrant here who subscribe to a religion that advocates killing and raping people. Way to go Cruzers. When Cruz is the reason the establishment is does not get overthrown you all will best be know as “Loser Cruzers” and your candidates political career will be over. We are experiencing a long awaited revolution in the GOP and of all people Cruz stands there to play spoiler. What the hell is wrong with you people???.
