I think seeing pregnant Maggie eager to kill, putting herself and the baby at risk, broke her. Carol tried to save her, and Maggie wants to risk herself, and as the mother of the group and symbolic grandmother.
She is willing to risk herself over and over again (like risking zombies to fix water pump at the prison) but can’t stand seeing yet another person she cares go out to kill and maybe get killed.
And while losing her own daughter made her toughen up, and protecting the group made her badass, the losses are starting to be too much and she’ll be too weak. And she knows if she bends, she’ll break when they need her most, and they’ll all die.
So she chooses the less painful route, isolation, over loss again and again.
This season, to add more tension and emotion and twists.
To say we’re going to wipe out a group, the Saviors, without recon to see how many there were or how many camps they had, was the biggest mistake.
And it doesn’t even bring in the cavalry because Morgan doesn’t know where Rick’s group needs reinforcements, if the people giving Carol help would even provide it.
Way of the Peace Warrior, lost when he shot to save Carol?
I had to google Daryl wallet, lol. Guess there’s a market for everything.
Big bad Negan beats up a women as an example? It could be though, I would think that it would be one of the guys.
I blame this all on Jesus and not from Nazareth. We could have said guy we would to trade with you but hey we are being exhorted for half of our stuff. Always wonder why that point didn’t come up when they sat around the kitchen table in Alexandria?
Reedus might have let something slip on TD. He said something like "Daryl wants revenge on Dwight and he won't stop until he gets it." So it sounds like he survives.
I do think the doomed character will be on the Daryl's level, and not an Aaron or a Eugene. One of the A-team.
Other than a Savior mentioning Alexandria at one point
the Saviors knew where Hilltop is located. All they would need
to do is go to Hilltop and branch out to cover all routes.
However, I missed whatever it was that clued the Saviors into
the fact that Alexandria folks were heading to Hilltop in
the first place.
As to your earlier question, Carl no longer has a right eye.
He only has a part of an eye socket. He needs to hoof it
back to the prison to recover the one used by the Gov.
He’s popular as one of the only strong, straight respectable white Southern men on TV.
Negan = Saddam, Ghadafi, and Al Capone rolled into one guy. The governor was crazy/bi polar or both, but Negan is not crazy... He truly believes in his new world vision.
Eugene sounds like a good bet. On a side note the whistling the Saviors where doing reminded me of the movie The Warriors.
“Warriors. Come out ant Playyay”. Lol.
Agreed. Just a stone cold killer without conscience, empathy, or morality. Such a man would normally kill the leader of the pack from the git go.
As the season ended with Negan’s brutality, I didn’t hear anyone crying out lime I think I would if it had been glenn (Maggie yelling) or Carl or Rick.
I think it is definitely not Rick, Carl, Maggie, or Glenn. Anyone else would not have someone vocally crying out for them so they are fair game (if you believe the last scene ).
I’m not mad, I just have high anxiety!
It was an exceptional, excellent episode to top of a great season.
I mean I guaran-damn-tee you I will be tuning in for the next bit at the first opportunity!
The whistling reminded me of The Hunger Games.
It was the actors crying on the set while filming the season finale, not their character.
