Rate Possibily Cruz Could Win Brokered GOP Convention (Scale 1 to 10)
Self | April 1, 2016 | PJ-Comix

Okay, we know that Ted Cruz needs to win 84% of the remaining delegates to reach the magic 1237 to win the nomination. Since that won't be happening, his ONLY hope is to win after the first ballot at an open (brokered) convention. For him to win you need to believe that the GOPe would be cool with a Cruz nomination.

Sooooo... On a scale of 1 to 10 with 1 being a complete impossibility of a Cruz nomination and 10 being an absolute certainty that Cruz will be nominated, numerically rate Cruz's chances of a nomination after the first ballot at the GOP convention this summer.

As long as an organized Republican party exists, it will NOT nominate a guy who called the Senate Majority Leader a liar on the Senate floor.

This has nothing to do with truth or falsehood, right or wrong. It’s how the world works.

I once had a student who called the Department Chairman a “pig” in a public forum. She had the highest GPA, and, later that year, she was amazed and outraged that she did not get the Chairman’s award for highest GPA. But, that’s not how the world works.

On a scale of 1-10: One, without question.

8 to 9
He’s got his own delegates locked and has been working the rest for a long time. He’s still a tea party favorite and he’s managed to pull the establishment types his way.

The only way he loses is if he does something really dumb or trump hits 1237.

Ted Cruz loses every way. 13% in OH. 17% in FL. No GOP candidate with those numbers will ever be POTUS. A vote for Cruz is a vote for Hillary.

Since Trump failed the loyalty oath, he may flip the 50 SC delegates to Cruz.

Did Trump know the implications of his statement?

The loyalty requirement was in place long before the voting happened.

What advantage does Trump have in saying the process was ‘unfair’?

In any case, hope Trump changes his tone to being more presidential — for both himself and the new party.

Trump and Cruz voters have already strengthen the party— so both should act more gracious and presidential .

Absolute zero. A brokered convention will be working to cut out both Trump and Cruz in favor of a GOPe annointee.

ZERO, Ted Cruz is toast....Both Trump....but more importantly his GOP Estblishment fake allies will cut his political throat...the first chance they do not need him anymore!!! Folks in Wisconsin....think wisely before throwing away your vote on Ted Crua....but, more importantly, a vote for Ted Cruz is a vote to throw away your and your country’s future for you, your children, and all future children yet to come in America!!!

The GOPe fear only one thing more than electing Hillary, having Trump supporters bolt the party and cause dozens of undercard down ballot incumbents to lose.

So far, Landslide Donald has won a staggering total of 37% of the vote and is currently polling with a far more staggering unfavorable rating of 63 percent. No GOP candidate with those numbers will ever be POTUS. A vote for Trump is a vote for Hillary.

If there is a brokered convention they are going to try to get Kasich

I even heard a talking nutball on the radio this morning in NY say that the best chance to beat HilLIARy is Kasich

Trump won every county but one against a favorite son sitting Senator in FL. Trump swept the SEC states outside of Texas against Pastor Ted. There’s only one plausible national candidate in the race and it’s Donald J. Trump.
