Did this become the new Common Core math problem: If 13 principals place orders for school supplies, and they only receive 65% of what they paid for, where did the other 35% of the money go? Dont try to work it out on pencil and paper, because the New York Times has provided the answer for you.
This is why the democRATs want to raise taxes.
Typical DIMocRAT loser criminals...typical. Maybe they felt they were owed “reparations”?
If 13 principals place orders for school supplies, and they only receive 65% of what they paid for, where did the other 35% of the money go?Years ago, one of my cousins had some addiction problems (I think this continues, dunno, now she has a fallen-off-the-face-of-the-Earth problem) and was living in some part of Detroit with a more ethnic flavor than the posh suburbs where she'd grown up. The school where her daughter went had a bring-a-grandparent day, and her mother went to the granddaughter's classroom. She was the only grandparent who showed up; the teacher just sat at her desk the entire day, and said and did nothing, while the kids yelled, played, and just generally effed around. I guess we're to believe that Detroit's schools fell and couldn't get up because of the alleged "looting" of "millions" from the school systems by that cad, Rick Snyder?
Pictures of the principled principals?
All the other grandparents act as parents, so they wuz cornfused.
The truth is that Detroit schools were looted of hundreds of millions by decades of black/democrat/home rule administration. Outside of FR, most people, especially blacks and democrats, can’t handle the truth.
Black Democrats (well, MOST Democrats, not just black Democrats) go into politics for one reason only; to get inside the system where they can use other peoples' money to enrich themselves and their lifestyle at taxpayers' expense.
Or, I may be wrong. But I'm probably not.
They must have gotten into the teaching bidness to learn how to steal more on a bigger scale.
From the article:
“In a city run by Democrats for years, under the influence of Democratic policies for years, and having been bankrupted by Democrats and Democratic policies, the only thing that should be surprising here is that we didnt see this sooner ”
It will be more prevalent in many other cities...everyone feels they deserve some of the action.
Hell I think the Italian mob has more compassion and respectability than they do.
It isn't just Detroit. Embezzlement occurs in inner-city schools across the country. They all need to be audited.
Liberals love to trot out sad black school kids with their 1960s-era textbooks as examples of the poor funding their schools receive. Truth be told, new textbooks, computers, supplies, etc. have been bought and paid for over and over again.
Ellen Degeneres had donated 500K to at least one DPS “skoo” and it went straight into the toilet.
This is chicken feed to what the Democrats do to the taxpayers. I’ve described it before in previous posts.
Procedure: Dream up some dubiously necessary project that requires public funding. Push it through legislature. Get the funding approved by the legislature, and once the funding is approved have your favorite contractors, vendors in place, and get the money out there so it can be picked off in cost overruns, and sleight-of-hand without a trace.
If I missed something, just add it on.
The money is returned to the politicians in various ways, but primarily in campaign contributions, as well the party always gets their share.
Jeb Bush was paid bribes. He has gotten millions from Pearson publishing.
Lots of single parent households, plus, naked fear.
/bingo
Unfortunately the Republicans just took away the School Choice option for a lot of parents of kids in those hell holes.
Instead some BS group will be formed, hand picked by the Mayor to oversee the city schools.
This will end well I am sure.
For the Grifters anyhow...
