We went to the movies the other night. My daughter saw the “No Firearms Allowed” and she was seriously a little bit afraid. “Oh great - now just the criminals will have guns!”

I told her that sign isn't so much a rule, but a guideline. And winked.

(Disclaimer - in my state the most they can do IF they catch you is ask you to leave. If you put up a fuss or refuse, then it becomes criminal trespass.)

Of course the Capitol has metal detectors, the theater doesn't.
