Updated 3:03 p.m. | Personal information gathered from a cyber assault on online-fling facilitator Ashley Madison has now hit the Web, and a handful of Capitol Hill accounts appear to have been laid bare.
Per media reports, the client records harvested by hackers identifying themselves as "Impact Team" include some 36 million email addresses. Ashley Madison does not, by its own admission, engage in any type of email verification, making fictitious accounts another resource in the cheater's toolbox.
Approximately 15,000 of those appear to sport the .mil or .gov designation assigned to the armed forces and federal agencies, respectively. Impact Team has not divulged the names associated with the pilfered hook-up records, but a data-driven social media user combed through the information and compiled the most common occurrences.
Among those purportedly seeking relations away from their spouses are emails associated with:
The office of GOP presidential hopeful Ted Cruz, R-Texas.
The Capitol Police.
Seven folks with ties to House offices.
Nearly four dozen people who punch timecards at the White House.
Sans a deep dive into the dark web to parse the full batch of raw data released for public scrutiny, HOH has no sure way of knowing which of our friends, neighbors and/or colleagues were looking to get their freak on away from prying eyes.
A Cruz aide assured HOH that nary a soul in that office is surreptitiously on the prowl.
The email address in question is press@cruz.senate.gov, a publicly and widely available forwarding address that is often entered into web contact forms by people with no connection to our office, Team Cruz said of the generic mailbox.
No one from the Capitol Police or Senate Sergeant-at-Arms responded to queries concerning particularly lustful aides.
There is no perfect man who is electable running for public office. Jesus would never, today be elected President. Meanwhile, while this foolishness continues, we are not discussing the country's problems.
Libel-"a published false statement that is damaging to a person's reputation; a written defamation"
If Ted Cruz knows it's a published, false statement why not sue or threaten to sue for libel? It's surely damaging his reputation. Any jury in the world would vote in his favor.
yes...
The problem I see with Cruz people continually blaming Trump for every revelation, is that Ted’s behaviors are now believed so substantially predate Trump’s run for the presidency.
I would even wager that Sarah Palin knew about it... after the GOPe got him into office as a Texas Senator... Heidi may have unburdened her soul to several people who are keeping their mouth shut right now.
What is concerning is that we KNOW the GOPe had this dirt on him, and probably blackmailed him to go after Trump, OR ELSE... his wife, children and phony American dream would go up in smoke. “a whore is a deep ditch and whoever falls into her arms, will not escape.” comes to mind.
"More interested" in something else does not equal "don't care." Cruz's voting record comes first, and I will dig pretty deeply to track that down. OTOH, I'm not going to question his "public persona" and go digging to see if he's different in his "personal life." The Cruz fans I know all believe the Bible is correct when it says "put not your faith in Princes" and when it teaches that only God knows a person's heart. Voting for a political candidate is like loaning money to friends or family -- you hope for the best, but prepare for the worst.
If I highly prioritized a candidate's personal life, I would never have been willing to "hold my nose" and vote for Trump if he's the Republican candidate. Someone who proudly brags about his adulteries and says he has no reason to ask forgiveness (definitely Trump) is far more morally offensive to me than a guy who upholds family values in public and falls into sin in private, but still publicly calls it sinful and wrong (potentially Cruz). One guy actively endorses a lifestyle that damages people, the other doesn't.
Ted’s fake name on the emails was probably Mashly Addison. ;-)
Trump threw Ivana under the bus...and Marla Maples...Megyn Kelly...Michelle Fields. You name it. It’s only a matter of time before Katrina joins the other women on the Trump Trail of Tears.
Never heard of him before 2015? Where have you been? His Obamacare filibuster was a legendary moment years before that. Just because you don’t know his bio doesn’t mean it’s a problem for him. It’s all on Wikipedia.
Obviously Cruz would never sign up Ashley Madison with the press account for his Senate address. That’s absurd. The e-mails would go to everyone on his staff. This was either done as a plant by the same anti-Cruz people who registered his web site domain or was done by an errant staffer.
True. Did Cruz do that?
This self serving statement doesn't address the purpose of providing an email address to a website like Ashley Madison at all.
As close to 85 can I add similar opinion ???...
You rule!
Ok, maybe so. I do not listen to GB.
I now think there should be a look at Cruz’s twitter account. Is it possible we have a Carlos Danger, Jr. here and not know yet??????????????
Maybe I’m missing something, but I don’t understand how one gets forwarded INTO the Ashley Madison database. If I’m not missing something, then the Cruz campaign’s explanation from last August makes no sense! No doubt, press@ would get unsolicited offers for trysts with any senator’s press@, so nothing should seem strange to the Cruz staff. Cruz could check it out anytime, anywhere from his phone, and no one would even know what was funk and what was Madison. Wasn’t it July when Cruz gave Fiorina $500,000? Maybe Amanda is in the database, too—hope somebody does the search.
