LBJ lived pre Twitter. The far and away biggest story in social media—despite the MSM ignoring it—will not simply fade away.
And at least one of LBJ's scandals--pre-Twitter--got tremendous gossip attention (where his chief of staff was arrested in a public place in a homosexual act with another man)--certainly more serious than the common affairs that JFK had had with scores of women, that went unreported at the time.
You either stand against this form of journalism; or you accede to "brave new world," in which nothing is private.
My concern with this, also, goes to the damage this intrusion of cheap gossip into the campaign, can do to our chances in November. I think Trump will get the nomination, but we will still need the Cruz voters in the event, and this sort of garbage will sour some on even voting in the fall.
