Mmmm Mac and Cheese :P
Boy Bruce Buffer has got some pipes. He’s revving up the crowd right now.
I’m pretty excited, rootin’ for Mir, but picked Hunt. HERE WE GO!
Like a boss!
Night night, Frankie.
I won a pick, I can’t believe it.
Mir was doing a lot of ducking looking for a level change, and Hunt timed a right hand to the ear to match the duck, and that’s all she wrote.
As soon as the shot landed, Hunt just walked away. He knew he didn’t have to do one thing else.
That was impressive!
Hunt seemed like an irresistible force and an immovable object in that fight.
SUPER SIMOAN!
Mir is my pick ... just because he is about as anti-social as I am... another Un-willing Functional and he is an aging Beast.
Age
Heavyweights they either sweat and breathe heavy or knock someone out.
Thanks for the updates
That's a wrap. Thanks everyone for a fun night.
Next event will be UFC Fight Night 86 - Rothwell vs. Dos Santos on April 10.
See y'all there!
I love Frank Mir.
Dude’s been around forever. I remember when he broke Tim Sylvia’s arm. Great stuff!
Plus Mir has the greatest stone face of all time.
Always appreciated that Frank brought more to the table than brute force, but he could bring that too.
Thanks again! Gnight
LMAO!
PERFECT!
Yep. He’s one of the OG well rounded fighters.
Night, man.
NY State finally legalizes MMA, it was long held up by former Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver (D) who was bribed by Bob Arum.
UFC looking to the Garden for an event in November.
It’s about time.
I saw that so awesome to hear.
Daniel Cormier hurt, Jon Jones to face OSP for the interim title.
I saw that they Originally wanted Rumble Johnson to fight Jones but he had to have Surgery. Still it should be interesting fight I pick Jones of course but I think OSP, will give it a good try in other news it seems Cyborg will be making her UFC debut she’ll be fighting Leslie Smith, Holly Holm turned down a chance to fight her instead to fight Tate Could we see a Rousey VS Cyborg fight sometime this year?
I like OSP but I’m not feeling the fight at all. Considering that another AKA fighter has had to pull out due to injury, this as good as it could get. I’ll be pulling hard for OSP but I don’t think it’ll be his night.
I’m surprised Jones took the fight considering he past history taking last minute opponents aka Sonnen. Of course, Jones is in a quite different place at this point (not being champ and coming off a long layoff).
I read that Rousey is planning to come back around November-December, so that’ll be her championship bout for the year. So no Cyborg match unless injuries plague the division which could happen but I imagine Rousey wouldn’t take the fight and something would suddenly come up.
What needs to be done is have Cris Cyborg VS Rousey for the number one contender spot followed by Tate Vs Holm for the title. Easy as that add a Connor McGregor vs Frankie Edgar to the card for the main event and you have a super card put it in Madison square garden.
The UFC is thinking about money matches and not compelling matches based on how the UFC handled Holm and tried to force her to wait for RR’s return. Even though it completely went against Holm’s interest in every way.
Since Holm went down against Tate, the UFC desperately wants that belt back on RR to get the money train back on track. That sets up several potential matches for the next year and a half maybe two years between them.
To put her up against Cyborg in her first bout back could totally derail the UFC-RR money train if Cyborg wins. They are not going to have that this early in the game. If things play out the UFC’s way Cyborg doesn't get anywhere near the title until mid-late-2017, maybe even 2018 if RR-Holm 2 goes RR’s way, setting up the rubber match.
All of that is IMHO the UFC’s wet dream for the division but fighters tend to throw all of their elaborate plans in the toilet.
