I was born in late ‘46, but I clearly remember when Castro took Cuba. No one knew he was a commie. The radio stations here in Cleveland played “The Cuban Marching Song” in regular rotation. It was a whistling song like “Bridge Over The River Quai.” He came to New York and the story was that he kept chickens oin his hotel room. Very amusing! But then, he seized all the American companies in Cuba, like Coca Cola and all the others, and things got a bit more interesting!
