I do not post all that often so, please bear with me.
A friend of mine has been waiting for a double lung transplant for many years. She is a wonderful woman, with a solid, supportive family and a true belief in the Lord. This morning, "the call" came. They drove from Vermont to Boston to prepare for the surgery. If the lungs are good, then she is likely having surgery as we speak.
I am asking for the prayers of Freepers for this brave, resolute woman. Her name is Tammy and she is in God's hands.
Thank you.
My 21 year old daughter’s best friend was murdered in a car accident six weeks ago by a drunk illegal immigrant from Honduras. She saved six people through organ donation and helped another four dozen thru tissue/bone.
Prayers sent.
God bless her and her family. I cannot imagine the hell they went through. But, they also brought life out of the darkness. May that murderer get justice.
Thank you for sharing that with me.
So far, everything is going well with Tammy. I am so grateful to the donor and their family. Their courage may have saved more than one life.
Prayers for your friend In the name of Jesus Christ. Our Lord, and Savior, King and Messiah. Amen.
My son passed away Dec 17, 2014 due to a brain aneurysm. He too, was a donor and saved the life of three people due to his generosity. Prayers up for Tammy! I wish her a speedy recovery and good health.
Prayers. I knew a woman who I seem to remember was the first double lung transplant in the country. She live a good life afterward for quite a few years. The best of luck to your friend.
I am so sorry for your loss and grateful for your son’s generosity.
Thank you for your wonderful prayers.
Thank you so much. She has been preparing for this day for years. I honestly think she believed it would never come. Praying for her to have many years of health and happiness!
God bless Tammy, her surgeons and nurses, be with her family and the family of the donor. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
They are anticipating the surgery to be finished around 11 PM EST.
Tammy is in recovery and seems to be doing well. She is groggy but the surgery appears to have been a success.
Please continue to pray and keep Tammy in your thoughts. There is a long road ahead for her and I have faith that she will thrive. Add her to any prayer lists that you may have, if you do not mind.
Thank you so much for your support and prayers.
Wonderful news. Thank you for the updates, and we will continue to keep Tammy in our prayers.
Thank you. So far, so good.
I am so pleased for her and it shows God really does have a plan and listens to prayer.
Have to share some of what Tammy posted on FB. I am so happy she is doing so well!
