I have a coworker who is a Yuuuuge Lib. He came at me yesterday with this "20% of Trump supporters are in the KKK" idiocy. I've heard this dude say some pretty wild crap but I think this is the craziest thing ever to come out of his mouth.

The Southern Poverty Law center says the entire membership of the Klan is 5,000 people.
So that makes 1,000 total Trump supporters in the USA
Everyone knows that all but one deep south white democrat male currently in the House of Representatives is in the Klan.
..Remind him that the Klan is organization founded by democrats....
Then start naming politicians that were members and their party affiliation....
You don’t even have to name them. Every Slave state legislature and most Governor’s there between the start of slavery and the Mid 1970’s were Democrats. Democrats were the ones who actually kept the slaves in chains and deprived former slaves of civil rights after the Civil War.

A healthy percentage of the Klan’s membership are probably Fed agents or informers.

I do not believe Trump is a racist and he denounced quite clearly the KLU Klux Klan.
He still seems ignorant in a few areas of history and government though.

The real KKK was sued out of existence years ago, under the RICO statutes. There are perhaps 2 dozen left, and 18 of them are FBI undercover agents who are reporting to different offices at Quantico. The rest are moronic skin heads with an IQ of 4, or old boys in retirement homes, wearing diapers.

If 20% of Trump supporters are Klan, he only has 40,000 or fewer supporters - mostly registered democrats. I wonder where he got the other hundreds of thousands of republican votes so far. Has he topped even the Democrat fraud machine? Or is this guess at his Klan support absurd?
When I was in high school in the 60s the most beloved teacher in school was W.C. Hickman. He taught the higher math classes and was retired as football coach.
When he was a young man he belonged to the Klan. We loved to get him off subject and tell stories about those days. Some really good tales. Most of them BTW, had nothing to do with race.
Tell your co worker that Trump’s spokesperson, Katrina Pierson, is a black woman. Also, ask you co worker why would someone like Medgar Evers brother endorse Trump if he has Klan affiliation or support? And last, remind him that it is a free country and there IS such a thing as the First Amendment, allowing people to speak freely, no matter how repugnant their message is.....

Oh yeah, I have my issues with The Donald, but racism ain’t the first thing that jumps to mind.
I want the opportunity to vote for a REAL Constitutional Conservative and the guy clearly ain’t it. But as I have said many times: if the name Trump is on the ballot the first Tuesday of this coming November, I will happily crawl a mile through broken liberals to vote for the man.
Some people want me to join them in swearing loyalty to the cat, but that ain’t gonna happen.
